The beautiful mountain side villages of Pelion are what you would expect in a traditional Greek village with lush green mountains flowing down to the crystal blue waters of the Aegean Sea where traditions are kept and valued.
Pelion is the ideal destination to travel all year around as it sees all seasons. It is warm in the summer snows in the winter and beautifully changes its flora during autumn and spring. The many mountain side villages are where locals still value and keep customs.
The perfect day would begin in the Village of Zagora, with breakfast under the large plane trees at our exclusive Gems of Zagora,. You can expect to watch the sunrise across the Aegean Sea, while planning watching the day’s adventures.
A walk through the village will give you a taste of the way of living in the mountains with a pit stop at the local village square for a Greek coffee and if you are lucky you might get a friendly greeting from one of the locals who will give you a short history lesson. Through a short drive around the famous Zagora apple fields, you will reach Chorefton Beach, a true representation of the Aegean seaside. If you follow the main road through the lush green forests over the vast creeks and rivers, there are an endless assembly of villages to explore with traditional shops and taverns. You will have many choices for dinner in traditional taverns, all with a fireplace as centerpiece for winter. If you are lucky, there are still a few that operate in the old fashioned way, with no menu, just a list of the days specials.
There are many activities for young and old you can enjoy in the area, hiking trails through the mountains, horseback riding, mountain biking, boat cruises, culinary classes and anything your heart desires.
The team you can trust with its real local knowledge has handpicked the following villas to help you experience exactly what we love about the Pelion region all year around.
